On the wild side

Over the last few years we have been lucky to film a wide variety of animals both in captivity and in the wild. It can be tricky but your odds certainly improve when you are well prepared and accompanied by the best experts who really know the animals and their habitats.

Filming the arrival of a rhino at Edinburgh zoo for Channel 5’s 'Big Week at the Zoo' was a lot of fun for us. We also had the chance to spend some time in the koala enclosure filming a rare baby koala and her mum.

Our recent trip to Mull & Skye, again filming for Channel 5, was both really challenging and rewarding. The terrain was very difficult on day one when we went searching for illusive sea eagles (not seagulls!) but finding 2, including a hatchling, made it totally worthwhile. Our expert guide knew exactly where to look and within 2 hours of setting off we were lucky enough to catch some great, 4k footage of these incredible birds.

Murray then took to the seas on a mission to spot and record porpoises and whales in the waters between Tobermory and Skye. On what may have been the most beautiful day of the year so far, Murray caught some great footage of all the action both on deck and in the water. We are really looking forward to seeing this show go out later in the year.
